Travel

Kefalinia airport (EFL) is just over 1 hours drive from AmigdaloSpito. The nearest port is Sami (30minutes drive) and has ferries to Ithaca, Patras and Astakos. Fiscardo also has ferry links with Lefkas and Ithaca. Car hire is available but not essential. There is some lovely walking locally and taxis are relatively inexpensive.

Locally

Within a 10 minute walk to 2 tavernas, both with great home cooking. A cafe, well stocked supermarket, corner shop selling local meat, a petrol station and Health Centre are nearby. 'Almond Tree house' is well situated, within 10 minutes drive is the popular and colourful harbour of Fiscardo and 15 minutes drive to the quiet and picturesque fishing harbour of Assos with its imposing Venetian fortress. The famous Myrtos beach is about 20 minutes drive away and has two good tavernas in the village about it.

This hotel is often used for walkling holidays, and painting holidays - there are plently of walks and beautiful views locally.

Beaches

Beaches within 10-15 minutes drive are Agia Gerousalim, Alaties, Assos, Dafnoudi, Foki (south of Fiscardo), Emblissi (NE of Fiscardo). 20 minutes drive is the famous Myrtos beach which is especially stunning when viewed from the northern cliffs above.
